University of Victoria Research Facility, focused on forest biology and physiology they require state of the art monitoring and controls for their research projects.
We are delighted to assist in the replacement of their twenty-three year old system with a new Argus Titan system. Additionally, we will be integrating the new Titan system to the existing Conviron research chambers.
About University of Victoria
The Bev Glover Greenhouse Research Facility at UVic is a 603-square-metre, state-of-the-art facility supporting the Centre for Forest Biology. It includes six computerized, climate-controlled greenhouses for research in tree biology, focusing on light and temperature control. The facility accommodates research on plant light responses, tree pathogens, insect pests, aeroponics, and seedling-mycorrhizal interactions.
It features advanced systems like automatic watering, nutrient delivery, blackout curtains, and a misting chamber. The service area includes 16 environmental chambers and space for media and soil preparation, plant propagation, and analysis. The greenhouse was funded by grants from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation, the B.C. Knowledge Development Fund, UVic, and private partners.
